The goals of the Polish Association of Insurance Medicine are the following:
- promoting the international and national achievements in the field of insurance medicine,
- encouraging the practical implementations if these achievements,
- increasing the high prestige of insurance medicine medical doctor, putting stress at the same time on preserving ethical values involved.

Ceeclam 2008

It is our pleasure to inform you that the Polish Association of Insurance Medicine (PAIM) is organising the 3^rd International Scientific Conference of CEECLAM (Central-Eastern European Committee for Life Disability and Health Assurance Medicine) aimed at life, disability and health insurance medicine.

CEECLAM has been founded in June 2001 to stimulate closer contacts among physicians from Central and East European countries active in the field of life and health insurance. Already from the beginning the idea was supported by the ICLAM bureau (International Committee for Life Disability and Health Assurance Medicine), whose representatives helped us considerably with their professional knowledge and experience during our previous conferences that were held in Warsaw in 2002 and in Dubrovnik in 2005.

The major aim of the Committee is to promote cooperation as well as exchange of experience and knowledge among insurance medicine professionals from Central and Eastern Europe.

Today we are proud to present the first announcement of the conference that will take place in Warsaw on 12^th-14^th May 2008. The lectures will cover different medical topics with reference to insurance, including disability and current health problems. Several renowned lecturers have already confirmed their attendance (see enclosed programme).

English would be the official language of the first two days of the Conference (12^th13^th May) and this language will be required for all printed materials and oral presentations. The third day (14^th May) will be devoted to the Health insurance topics, hot on the Polish market. For that reason we decided that the lectures should be presented in Polish. No simultaneous translation of this session will be provided.

We believe that the 3^rd CEECLAM will bring together professionals in insurance medicine advancing further integration of international life insurance societies from New Europe. The Organising Committee would be honoured with the presence of representatives from your Company.
