The CEECLAM Meeting took place in Marriott Hotel, Warsaw on 14 November 2002.

47 delegates from different European countries were present.

The meeting was opened by Dr Krzysztof Grzylinski - president elect of CEECLAM and host of the 1st CEECLAM conference. The first president of CEECLAM - Prof. Janos Feher from Hungary gave broad introduction describing the background, reasons and expectations of founders of CEECLAM in June 2001 in Hungary. He mentioned merits of the founders of this organisation and stressed the fundamental role of the supporting delegates from ICLAM present at the organisation meeting.

During the meeting the CEECLAM Constitution has been discussed and settled.

The Constitution would be based on the polish law. The organisation should open a bank account and the treasurer should remain in the country when the bank account is.

1. Membership fee

It has been accepted the amount of 30 EUR as the annual subscription fee for each delegate and a lower sum of 20 EUR for the associated members.

A fixed fee for the corporate members has been suggested. The general idea was that the corporate members would benefit from such a regular support obtaining a permission to delegate free of charge to each congress or meeting as many participants as they wish.

2. Scientific meetings

It has been decided that president-elect is in charge of organising the next conference that takes place every 3-years.

Each National Committee could also apply to the board for organising next scientific conference. The Board would make the decision of the conference venue.

3. The Board

The 3-year term for the board members were set.

It has been stated that the board members should reflect in their variety the country membership within the organisation. Each country joining CEECLAM should have a representative in the Board.

      Completion of the board:
Dr Dario Lovric from Croatia has accepted the position of president-elect of CEECLAM and took the obligation to organise a Conference in Zagreb in 2005.
Dr Jerzy Nowak (Poland) was chosen for the treasurer
Dr Zuzanna Guzel (Poland) for the secretary of CEECLAM
Other board members were nominated according to the member countries:
- Dr Wolfgang Munda from Austria
- Dr Miglena Andronova from Bulgaria
- Dr Ivana Buresova from Czech Republic
- Dr Theodora Lupan-Caba from Romania
- Dr Peter Mlkvy from Slovakia

For the Consultant advisers of the organisation Dr R Gill (UK) and Dr S Akermann (Germany) were chosen.

4. Publishing needs

It has been proposed to put the scientific information on the web and give the access by password to the CEECLAM subscribers only. This proposal should be worked out by the board.

5. The board members will communicate via e-mail correspondence during the year.

The president will work on the administrative issues concerning constitution and inform other board members about the proceedings in legislation. After the basic formalities are fulfilled the board will discuss further steps in organisation and effective functioning of the organisation.

6. For the purpose of the efficient communication with all CEECLAM members the web page will be created enabling easy communication and distribution of information about the organisation and its activities.
